Rockstar Games’ May 6, 2025 update to the official GTA VI website did more than deliver Trailer 2. It introduced a named supporting cast around protagonists Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, giving players the clearest official look yet at the people, businesses, and criminal circles shaping GTA VI’s version of Leonida.
That matters because character pages are easy to blur together with trailer analysis, leaks, and wish lists. Rockstar has confirmed these characters, their broad backgrounds, and their connection to Jason and Lucia. It has not confirmed mission structures, playable side characters, relationship mechanics, GTA Online roles, or modding support based on those pages.
For GTA fans, creators, and future roleplay communities, the useful takeaway is simple: Rockstar is positioning GTA VI around an interconnected local cast rather than treating Vice City as a backdrop for only two leads.
Jason and Lucia remain the center of GTA VI
Rockstar’s official material establishes Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos as GTA VI’s protagonists. Their story begins after a job goes badly wrong, pulling them into what Rockstar describes as a conspiracy stretching across Leonida. Trailer 2 and the character descriptions make clear that their relationship is central to the game’s premise, not merely a partnership assembled for one early heist.
Jason is presented as someone who has spent time around criminals and wants an easier life, while Lucia is described as a fighter determined to build a better future after time in Leonida Penitentiary. Those are story foundations, not a confirmed breakdown of how switching, skills, inventories, or player choices will work.
Rockstar has a long history of using character biographies to set tone without publishing every mechanical detail. GTA V’s marketing introduced Michael, Franklin, and Trevor before players knew the full rhythm of character switching or the exact structure of heists. The same caution makes sense here.
The confirmed supporting cast connects multiple sides of Leonida
The official site profiles several supporting characters with links to music, nightlife, organized crime, boat smuggling, and old-school Vice City hustling. That range gives GTA VI’s setting a more grounded social map than a trailer full of anonymous NPC clips ever could.
Cal Hampton
Cal Hampton is Jason’s friend and a devoted listener of Coast Guard communications. Rockstar portrays him as comfortable living quietly while monitoring the noise around him. His profile suggests comic relief and a possible source of local intelligence, but it does not confirm that players will use radio scanning, surveillance systems, or dispatch calls as gameplay mechanics.
Boobie Ike, Dre’Quan Priest, and Real Dimez
Boobie Ike is introduced as a Vice City entrepreneur whose operations include a strip club, real estate, and a recording studio. Dre’Quan Priest is a promoter trying to turn his musical connections into something larger, while the duo Real Dimez—Bae-Luxe and Roxy—are described as longtime friends building a music career after their earlier success on social media.
These pages establish that music and nightlife are part of GTA VI’s worldbuilding. They do not establish a player-run music label, a club-management system, social-media mechanics, or any licensed soundtrack details beyond what Rockstar chooses to announce separately.
Raul Bautista and Brian Heder
Raul Bautista is a seasoned bank robber who is willing to pursue increasingly risky scores. Brian Heder is a longtime Vice City drug runner who operates from the Keys and expects Jason to help with local work. Both descriptions place Jason and Lucia near established criminal networks rather than portraying them as complete outsiders.
That is particularly relevant to the tone Rockstar appears to be building: GTA VI may move between the glossy public face of Vice City and the people making money along Leonida’s coasts, neighborhoods, clubs, and waterways. Still, a criminal biography is not a mission list. Players should resist turning phrases such as “bigger scores” into claims about confirmed bank-heist systems or endlessly repeatable robberies.
What the update tells us about Leonida’s world
The character material works alongside Rockstar’s official location pages, which identify Vice City, Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia, and Mount Kalaga National Park. Together, these pages suggest a state with distinct economic and cultural pockets rather than one city surrounded by generic countryside.
For story fans, that creates room for the kind of regional contrast Rockstar has used well in previous games: different accents, local businesses, rival crews, and very different ideas of what “making it” looks like. For content creators, the material offers a useful reference point when discussing confirmed lore without leaning on unverified screenshots or supposed insider details.
It also explains why Rockstar has been willing to give so many supporting characters their own pages. These people appear designed to make Leonida feel populated by groups with competing interests, not just NPCs waiting at mission markers.
What it could mean for roleplay and mod creators later
There is no official confirmation that GTA VI will support FiveM, dedicated servers, a roleplay framework, or client-side modding. Rockstar acquired the team behind Cfx.re in 2023, but that acquisition alone is not a product announcement for GTA VI. Server owners should keep their current GTA V/FiveM plans separate from assumptions about the next game.
That said, the official cast provides a useful creative signal. If GTA VI eventually develops a modding and roleplay ecosystem, Leonida’s mix of nightlife, music, shipping, real estate, law enforcement-adjacent radio chatter, and regional criminal groups could inspire strong original server concepts. The important word is original: future communities should build their own stories and avoid presenting unofficial roleplay content as Rockstar canon.
Mod creators can also take a practical lesson from Rockstar’s presentation. Character-driven worldbuilding gives vehicle packs, interiors, jobs, radio content, and custom maps more purpose when they fit a recognizable local identity. That principle already applies to GTA V and FiveM projects today, regardless of when or how GTA VI’s PC and modding situation becomes clearer.
Keep the confirmed details separate from the speculation
The strongest source for this subject remains Rockstar’s own GTA VI page, which hosts the trailer, character profiles, and location descriptions. Rockstar has confirmed GTA VI for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with its currently announced release date set for November 19, 2026. A PC version has not been officially announced.
Everything beyond the published character descriptions needs the right label. Claims about a playable supporting cast, complex romance systems, specific heists, careers, properties, online factions, or mod tools remain unconfirmed unless Rockstar or Take-Two states otherwise. The information and implications discussed here are partly speculative and might not accurately represent current or future events.
For now, Jason, Lucia, and their circle give fans a more reliable place to start than rumor accounts do: Rockstar is building a Leonida with personalities, institutions, and pressure points already in place. As more official information arrives, that cast will be worth revisiting—especially for anyone planning stories, videos, or future community projects around GTA VI.
