Unconfirmed GTA VI Enterable Stores Rumor: What the “700+” Claim Actually Says

Rumor credibility: Low confidence. A widely shared GTA VI claim says the game will feature more than 700 enterable stores, with malls among the locations players can enter. The report was published in early June 2025 by GTA-focused social-media account GameRoll, which attributed the information to an unnamed source. Rockstar Games has not confirmed the number of enterable stores, functional malls, or any comparable interior-access figure.

That distinction matters. The claim has an identifiable public origin and comes from an account that made at least one notable pre-release character-name call, but it does not include footage, documents, a verifiable development build, or an on-record Rockstar source. Treat it as an interesting report to watch—not a GTA VI feature list.

What the rumor claims

GameRoll’s report says GTA VI will have more than 700 stores that players can enter and that malls will be among the accessible locations. The wording is important: it refers to stores, not necessarily 700 fully unique, deeply simulated interiors with bespoke missions or activities.

That leaves plenty of unanswered questions. “Enterable” could mean anything from a small shop with a counter and a few interactable items to a larger location used during a mission. It also does not tell us whether every store is available in free roam, whether interiors repeat, whether they appear at launch, or how access works in GTA Online.

The original reporting did not provide those details, and neither should anyone fill in the gaps with assumptions. Claims that this automatically means every skyscraper, apartment, restaurant, or house in Leonida will be accessible are adding information that the source did not provide.

Why players are paying attention

GTA VI’s official material already points toward a denser, more varied version of Vice City and the wider state of Leonida. Rockstar’s official GTA VI page describes the game as taking players across Leonida, while the second official trailer and its accompanying screenshots show a broad spread of businesses, nightlife, roadside spaces, and urban environments.

That makes a substantial number of accessible commercial interiors plausible in a general sense. GTA games have always used shops, bars, barbers, safehouses, mission locations, and other interiors to make their worlds feel lived in. Red Dead Redemption 2 also demonstrated Rockstar’s appetite for detailed, functional interiors and environmental storytelling.

But “plausible” is not evidence. A huge world can display hundreds of businesses without letting players enter most of them. Rockstar has not published an interior count, a mall feature, or a breakdown of free-roam building access. The official trailer is useful for understanding the game’s tone and setting; it is not proof of the rumor’s numbers.

The account’s track record is not the same as proof

GameRoll is not an anonymous repost account, which is one reason this claim travelled further than the usual screenshot-caption rumor. Before Rockstar released Trailer 2 in May 2025, the account posted the names Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos. Rockstar subsequently identified the protagonists as Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos in its official character material.

That is a relevant point in the account’s favor. It suggests the account may have had access to accurate information at least once. It does not, however, verify an unnamed source’s later claims about stores, malls, mission structure, gameplay systems, or any other feature.

Leaks can be a mix of accurate details, outdated details, educated guesses, and misunderstandings. Development plans change. A feature can exist in an internal build and be reduced, redesigned, or cut before release. A source might also know one real detail while being wrong about the scale or context of another.

What is missing from the evidence

The main weakness is straightforward: there is no independently verifiable evidence attached to the 700-plus number. No second established reporter has corroborated it, and Rockstar has not addressed it.

There are also several technical questions the report does not answer:

  • Are the alleged stores individually authored, modular variations, or a blend of both?
  • Does the count include mission-only interiors, online-only interiors, or temporary event locations?
  • Are malls fully explorable spaces, limited shop hubs, or simply buildings containing several accessible storefronts?
  • Would every interior load seamlessly, or could some use transitions that are not visible in a short clip?
  • Was the alleged information current when the source shared it?

Without answers, the headline number is easy to overinterpret. A count can sound enormous while still telling us very little about the actual quality, variety, persistence, or gameplay value of those spaces.

What Rockstar has officially confirmed

Rockstar has officially confirmed GTA VI’s Leonida setting and its two central protagonists, Jason and Lucia. The company has also released two trailers and official screenshots that establish the game’s visual direction and locations. Players can review Trailer 2 directly through Rockstar Games’ official YouTube upload.

Rockstar has not officially confirmed a count for accessible interiors, enterable stores, malls, property ownership, burglary mechanics, or the extent of indoor exploration. If a feature matters to how you plan to play—especially if you are considering roleplay, content creation, or future mod projects—wait for Rockstar’s own feature rundown before treating it as a launch promise.

What it could mean for modders and roleplay communities

If the claim eventually proves accurate, a larger baseline of accessible commercial spaces could be useful for future single-player creators and roleplay communities. Shops and malls can become natural locations for jobs, heists, meetups, businesses, mini-games, and story-driven events.

For FiveM-minded server owners, though, that is still several steps ahead of the facts. Rockstar has not announced GTA VI modding tools, a GTA VI-compatible FiveM framework, or permission for creators to convert GTA VI locations into multiplayer resources. An accessible vanilla interior also does not automatically mean a server can use, modify, stream, or extend it.

The practical lesson is the same one experienced GTA V creators already know: build plans around confirmed tools and documented permissions, not a rumor’s most exciting interpretation. There is plenty of value in preparing design skills, Lua or JavaScript knowledge, asset workflows, and a clear community concept now. There is no need to promise your players a mall-based RP economy before the platform exists.

Our read on the claim

The 700-plus store report is specific enough to be worth documenting, and GameRoll’s earlier character-name post gives the account more relevance than a random viral reply. Still, the underlying source is unnamed and the evidence is not independently testable. That keeps this firmly in the low-confidence category.

It is reasonable to hope GTA VI expands on Rockstar’s approach to usable interiors. It is not reasonable, at this stage, to cite “700 enterable stores” as a confirmed selling point, assume all of those spaces are available in free roam, or use the number to market a future server or mod.

We will keep separating solid announcements from shaky claims as GTA VI approaches. In the meantime, explore the available mod downloads or create a free account and join the conversation in the SixMods Community Forums.
